I just purchased two paintings.
One by Christopher Kroehler, oil, "Seated Woman", a Seattle native.
The other an oil by M K Reiss, mountain scene, plein aire, unable to find his name listed in northwest artists. Do you know of him?

Could have had many more Tacoma resident painters in the exhibit. Yes, you have V. Haffner, T. Handforth, and J. E. Stuart. But you are missing:
Albert Barnes, Crissie Cameron, Ruth Jacobson Clark, Fritz Coling, J. J. Englehart, Vera Erickson, William Gilstrap, E. S. Glover, Mac Harshberger, F. Mason Holmes, O. B. Jacobson, Max Meyer, Rex Peirce, Lionel Salmon, Fred Southworth, Frederick Taylor, Leroy Updyke.
Thanks for allowing us to comment.

Hi i bought a oil on broad by Updyke it's a seen of a forest with a stream and in the back ground there's a snow caped mountain. I'm not sure if it is of Washington State or not but i think it is. The painting is framed and it is 3ft 7in long and 1ft.5in tall. Could anyone tell me anything about the painting and what it is worth? I don't know if i should hang on to it or not.

Looking for info or more paintings of Esther (Barrows) Webster. I know the Fine Arts Museum up in Port Angeles is her old home. I would like to know if anyone is familiar with her ealier works.

To Mr. Hockelsmith:
I bough my Updyke years ago in Puyallup for maybe $800. It's oversized, of the Mountain (Tahoma/Rainier) but from an unusual angle, looking up the White River Valley. Never seen another for sale. The experts are Sherburne & Company, Olympia.
