Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. Once the "Concise History" exhibition closes on May 23 it will be followed by an exhibition of contemporary Northwest artists who have won or been nominated for the Neddy Artist Fellowship during the last 15 years. It's a great mix of artists and media so come back soon.

While I have no suggestions of Northwest artists for the Tacoma Art Museum, I am interested in knowing if Margaret Bullock, formerly of University of Oregon Art History Master's program and whittler of imitation Chinese Girl's Day dolls' drumsticks is still with the organization. I've tried finding her on Facebook to no avail. Hope all is well.

My father, Richard V. Correll, was a WPA artist in Seattle - two of his murals and many of his prints exist in museums, libraries and other public buildings and collections in the NW and around the country. Here is a list of other Seattle WPA artists whose art work also adorned public spaces: Hans Bok, Irene McHugh, William O. Fletcher, Otho R. Barnes, Julius (Land Elk) Twohy, Clementine Fossek, Agatha Kirsch, Helen Hyng, Lubin Petric, Henry Bacon, William Cumming, Salvador Gonzalez, George R. Glenn, David Stapp, Paul Cunningham, Ransom Patrick, Bernie Sheridan, Fay Chong, Esther Olson, Bill Van Dyck, Jacob Elshin, Leon Marsh, Alf Bruseth. Let me know if you would like a copy of the photo of this group, or any other info. Thank you!
Best,
Leslie Correll

Clyfford Still is listed above as a non-Northwest artist. Since he was born and raised and attended college in Spokane and taught at WSU in Pullman, I think he is a northwest artist.
